Kat is a special six-year-old feline who survived a terrible situation.
In December 2010, a BC SPCA animal protection officer was called to Kat's former home. She was found with such badly matted fur that she could hardly move her legs. Her former owner could not afford to provide her with food or the proper care she deserved and surrendered Kat to the BC SPCA.
Immediately upon arriving at the shelter, Kat was taken to the Vancouver SPCA Grooming Shop where she was shaved and freed from her mattes.
Currently, Kat is learning what life is like when she is properly taken care of thanks to a loving BC SPCA volunteer foster family.
Her foster guardians describe her as beautiful and smart. She loves to follow you around the house and sleep on the bed.
Kat enjoys company but can be sensitive when touched. She loves her scratching post and her cat grass. Kat would do best in a quiet, adult only home with no other cats as she wants to be the center of attention in her new home.
If you can open your heart and home to give Kat a second chance, please call or e-mail the Vancouver Branch of the BC SPCA to learn a little bit more about this lovely girl.
She has been through so much and deserves a perfect forever home.
