And the award for Miss Congeniality goes to... Raven!

Raven is a sweet gentle, 14-year-old black-and-white domestic shorthair cat. A staff and volunteer favourite, she has been with the BC SPCA since January 28, 2012 and is now at the Vancouver Branch.

She was originally found stuck in a heating vent with first-degree burns on her tummy. She is now fully healed and is ready to go home with you. You’d never guess she has had past troubles because she has such a winning attitude. After enduring some hard times, she deserves a cushy retirement.

Grateful for attention, she jumps down from her perch and starts chatting when visitors arrive with an unforgettable, squeaky meow. Though she has had a bit of arthritis, she seems to forget that as she waddles back and forth in excitement longing to share little welcome kisses. After a long hard day at work, wouldn’t it be nice to come home to someone this excited to see you?

Raven often gets overlooked because of her age, which is unfair as she has so much to offer. She has a great personality, is very low maintenance and only wants your presence - a true lap cat. If she wants a little more of your attention, she will gently place a paw on your chest to let you know she is still there. Also as she is not as active as she once was, she doesn't require a lot of space and would be just fine in a small apartment.

She is a bit chubby with a cute little head, but her quirky looks just add to her charm. Everyone adores her positive spirit; all she wants is a new best friend to sit with in a quiet, gentle home. She would make an especially excellent companion for someone older who likes to take it easy. She is not crazy about other cats, but she is excellent with gentle children.

Check her out on Youtube to hear her cute squeaky meow or to see what a great lap cat she makes! Or visit her in person at the Vancouver Branch. For more information email or call 604-879-7271 today!
