Say hello to the most handsome cat in B.C.!

Roscoe is a fetching 10-year-old brown male tabby. If you think he’s gorgeous now – wait until you see this guy in person. He is undeniably, show-stoppingly, drop-dead handsome.

Prior to taking up residence at the BC SPCA Vancouver Branch in late August 2012, Roscoe had been living in the downtown eastside of Vancouver. Unfortunately, Roscoe had some ongoing medical issues, specifically with his ear, and his guardian could not afford to pay for his care.

Since being surrendered, Roscoe has received treatments for his ear while under BC SPCA care. He is feeling much better and is excited to start a new chapter in his life. He would be happiest in a peaceful, adult-only home.

Just because Roscoe has been living downtown does not mean he’s a jaded – quite the contrary! Roscoe is still a big softie. Just remember: this cuddly teddy bear is a little shy and introverted until he gets to know you. Give him a chance and you’ll see why he’s a staff favourite!

A SPCA volunteer says,

“Roscoe is such a stud! But he isn't just looks - he's got the perfect personality to match.

He's a quiet kind of guy, but give him time and he'll open up to you.

It can certainly be hard for him to stand out as he is often overlooked by visitors in favour of his younger, skinnier neighbours. However, animal shelters are always filled with hidden gems and Roscoe is certainly one of them.

I visit with Roscoe almost daily and he always cheers up when he sees me. You can tell he wants a new best friend so badly it hurts.

Roscoe loves to cuddle. He gives really strong head butts when he wants to say, ‘I like you’ and he even drools sometimes when he’s really happy to see you.

What's more, he doesn’t become ‘over stimulated,’ even after 30 minutes of petting. He adores endless pats, massages and belly rubs. Above all, Roscoe just loves to be touched.

If you’re looking for a big love-bug to cuddle with on a lazy Sunday afternoon, then Roscoe is your man. Did we mention he's extremely handsome?”

Roscoe is rather large guy, with an equally large heart of gold. Make sure you have lots of room in your heart because Roscoe has plenty of love to fill it.
