This handsome ginger tabby entered the BC SPCA Vancouver Branch in September 2016, when his guardian could no longer care for him. Sassafrass is a handsome young boy, about four years of age.

During the day Sassafrass enjoys his independence, peace and quiet while you're away at work. In the evening, he likes to be by your side on the couch as a furry companion.

Sassy has funny quirks like rolling up into a perfect ball when he naps, loves to play with his feather chaser.  He loves being scratched under the chin.

When Sassafrass is not playing, he likes his quiet.  At night, he'll choose between sleeping at the foot of the bed or on the couch with his blankie.

Sassafrass likes being around people and will follow you from room to room, but he’s a little shy. If you have the love to give, Sass is a cat who would benefit greatly from it, and show you his true colours. He would suit feline-savvy adopters.

Please note that Sassafrass would live happily in a household with adults where his low petting tolerance is respected. Sass is not suited to a home with children.

If Sassafrass sounds like the cat companion for you, please contact the BC SPCA Vancouver Branch at (604) 879-7721 or
