Kids learn how to help the animals at BC SPCA Summer Camps in Vancouver
If you’d like your child to experience an unforgettable week learning
about animals, sign them up for BC SPCA 2011 Summer Camps in Vancouver this summer.
Kids participate in a range of educational and fun activities,
including animal-themed games, skits, crafts, guest speakers and more.
"They will learn about companion,
wild and farm animals and have a chance to meet some of our small animals such
as cats, rats, and other small furry creatures,” says BC SPCA humane education
manager Paula Neuman. “They also spend time with very lovable dogs belonging to
SPCA staff members that have been temperament tested by BC SPCA animal welfare
professionals.”
In addition to learning about pet care, animal health and
welfare, Neuman says the children will come away with new ideas of ways to help
animals in their community. Vancouver camps run for eight weeks in
July and August and registration is now open.
Camp spaces fill up quickly, so please
register early. Visit our online calendar of events for more information on BC SPCA 2011 Summer Camps in Vancouver.
