Hannah was surrendered by her owners to the BC SPCA Vernon & District Branch when they no longer wanted to care for her. This was in March 2011 and as soon as she came in the door you could tell she was a bundle of energy. A typical Lab cross, Hannah was ready to play at the drop of a hat, thanks to this great quality she made a new best dog friend at the shelter, Rebby, another Lab cross.
As much fun as it was for everyone to watch these two young dogs get into all sorts of mischief, it would be even better to see both of them go into great new homes. A month after being left behind by her previous owners Hannah had met her new family and was adopted on April 26, 2011. She is still full of beans and has kept her name, but thankfully not her lack of leash skills.
We adopted Hannah on April 26 2011; she is an energetic loving girl. After the first week I thought what have I done? She is a quick study & learned the first eve that the kitchen was out of bounds, so knew we had a smart girl. She has not really calmed down a great deal but at least we can walk her on her leash now without her pulling your arm out of its socket. It is said that we take these four legged critters home to give them a better life and we do have to know that they in return give unconditional love back to us.
True words written by such an understanding family; thank you so much for making adoption your first option and for giving Hannah the chance she deserves at life.
