Prospect, an eleven year old cat, ended up in the care of the BC SPCA Victoria Branch because she was a stray, picked up in the Prospect Lake area, hence her name.
Some people thought the name didn’t really suit her because of her regal bearing and distinctive nose, perhaps a more distinguished name, like Cleopatra might work?
Prospect has been at our shelter far too long, since August 4, 2011, which makes her one of our longest resident cats.
When you enter Prospect's room, she will quietly acknowledge you by looking up and observing you from a distance. She will likely stay in her cozy spot which is usually up high on a cat tree or perch right in the window, waiting - silently hoping that you will have time to visit with her. This girl will happily accept cuddles and petting - rewarding you with her gentle purring and look of contentment on her face.
Prospect is a very calm and affectionate girl who is usually happy in her own space, but is very friendly and compatible sharing her room with other kitties. Though she would be good in a home with other cat friendly kitties, she would appreciate having a quiet space of her own.
This lovely girl, a remarkable cat, is ready and deserves to share a home with a loving, adoring and quiet family.
