Looking for something to do over your holiday break? Come to the Victoria SPCA and Make a Big Difference for Small Animals.
On Tuesday Dec 29th, the SPCA in Victoria will be hosting a full-day small animal care workshop from 9 am to 3 pm.
At the workshop you will:
- meet small animals at the SPCA (that could include rats, hamsters, degus, chinchillas, rabbits and birds);
- work on special projects to help the small animals (enrich habitats, make toys and treats);
- make cool crafts to take home;
- find out what kind of small pet is right for you;
- learn how to enrich and improve the lives of your pets at home;
- learn how to help small animals in your community;
- meet other kids who are interested in animals;
- learn about upcoming kids activities at the SPCA.
There is a $30 fee for this workshop. Adult supervision and supplies are provided. Bring a lunch, a snack and water, and dress to make a mess! Please use the gym entrance at the back of the shelter (3150 Napier Lane).
The registration deadline for this unique and fun workshop is Dec. 24. Hurry because space is limited!
