Membership
Become a member of one of the largest animal welfare organizations of its kind in North America!
Our members are dedicated to ensuring the safety, protection and care
of all animals in B.C. and strive to support our branch, administration and
governing bodies.
Why become a member?
Thousands of animals are mistreated in B.C. each year - including wild animals.
Everyday, the BC SPCA provides emergency help and shelter for animals in
need – domestic, farm and wild. Your support as a Member of the BC SPCA
helps to ensure that animals in our province are protected from cruelty and
neglect. With your help, we can create communities where all animals are
treated with respect, care, and compassion.
Members help direct the mission, vision and activities of the Society
through the election of volunteer leaders. Members are eligible to hold
office on one of the branch community councils or the provincial board
of directors. Members are also entitled to attend general meetings of
the BC SPCA and attend and vote at meetings of their local branch.
As a condition of membership, all members are required to uphold the Constitution and Bylaws of the BC SPCA and comply with the code of ethics .
