Cage sponsorship
Since 2002, when Wild ARC began the process of becoming its own branch of the BC SPCA, we set out with the goal of becoming a self-sustaining facility. We are pleased to announce that we have increased our revenues from $18,000 in 2003 to $325,000 in 2010 through new fundraising initiatives and raising our profile in the community!
But there is still more work to be done. One large expense for our branch is the yearly maintenance work that must be performed on our specialty cages. In addition, due to our wet climate and recent storms, many of our cages require repairs and improvements in order to safely house our wild patients. We have no municipal water line on our rural road and must truck water in every second day in the summer - this one project alone will cost $400,000!
In 2007, we kicked off our tenth anniversary with a new campaign to raise funds to improve our current facilities. We would like to offer you a very special invitation to be a part of our new sponsorship program, where you can personally sponsor one of our special wildlife rehabilitation cages. Sponsors will not only have their name displayed on the cage, but they will also receive a certificate or plaque to display at home or the office, have their name listed on our website (if desired), and will be given first priority for reservations to our annual spring open house.
By participating in our cage sponsorship program, you too can enjoy the knowledge that you are directly contributing to the rehabilitation and eventual release of wild animals. Email us for more information on our 2011 Cage Sponsorship Progam.
