The BC SPCA Wild Animal Rehabilitation Centre (Wild ARC) facility relies on generous donations of new or used items to help house, feed, and care for our wild patients.

Urgent Needs

  • Aquarium Pump - this exact model - by Little Giant

  • Gas cards to pay for wildlife transportation - any major gas station chain accepted


 Food Supplies

  • Frozen fish and seafood

  • Fresh or frozen berries

  • Suet blocks (without holders)

  • Rice pablum (banana or plain)

  • Raw (not roasted) unsalted nuts and seeds (in or out of their shell)

  • Canned dog and cat food (high quality, not diet or specialty)

  • Eggs (chicken, duck, quail, etc)

  • High quality dry hay

  • Earthworms

 Animal Care Supplies

  • Heating pads (no auto-shutoff)

  • Butterfly nets

  • Immersion blender (hand blender)

  • Red heat lamp bulbs

  • Full spectrum light bulbs

  • Pillow cases

  • Large sheets (flat, not fitted)

  • Digital scales (for 1kg or more)

  • Magic Bullet blender

  • Dog grooming clippers

  • Seventh Generation dish soap (for wildlife oil baths)

Tax receipts for donated gifts

Gifts of goods or products are eligible for an official receipt for income tax purposes. Just drop them off at our branch with your contact information and proof of value* (ie. actual store receipt reflecting price, before shipping/handling or taxes).

* Required by the Canada Revenue Agency.
