Supplies wish list

The BC SPCA Wild Animal Rehabilitation Centre (Wild ARC) facility relies on the generous donation of new or used items to help shelter, feed and care for wild animals.

 Urgent needs

  • Gas cards to pay for wildlife transportation - any major gas station chain accepted.

  • New or lightly used photocopier - capable of doing double-sided copies

  • New laptop to manage our volunteer programs - a tax receipt can be issued for the in-kind value

  • Autoclave to sterlize medical tools

 

 Food

  • Unsalted nuts (in and out of shell)

  • Unsalted seeds (sunflower, pumpkin, squash…)

  • Rice pablum (banana or plain flavour)

  • Ensure (vanilla flavour)

  • Canned dog and cat food (high quality)

  • Suet blocks

  • Worms

  • Vitamins (E, B complex, calcium/magnesium)

  • Organic soil

  • Baby food (vegetable, no peas or meat)

  • Alfalfa hay

 

 Cleaning supplies

  • Bleach

  • Liquid laundry soap (biodegradable)

  • Dishwashing soap (any brand, biodegradable)

  • Metal rake (fan style)

  • Garbage bags (extra large)

 

 Animal and facility supplies

  • Dawn dishwashing soap

  • Garden shears

  • Butterfly nets

  • Mirrors (small, for inside cages)

  • Bird feeders (small, for inside cages)

  • Doggie nail trimmers

  • Ceramic dishes (extra small)

  • Kiddie pools

  • Food Dehydrator

  • Hand mixer

  • Heating pads

  • Magic bags

  • Hot water bottles

  • Tarps

  • Nylon rope

  • Toys (easy to clean)

 Tax receipts for donated gifts

Gifts of goods or products are eligible for an official receipt for income tax purposes. Just drop them off at our branch with your contact information and proof of value* (ie. actual store receipt reflecting price, before shipping/handling or taxes).

* Required by the Canada Revenue Agency.
