Taurus, her 12 siblings, and their mother were rescued from a rural property on October 6, 2010 after surviving the first blast of winter.
There was little food available and the poor pups were succumbing to the lack of nutrition and clean water.
The hungry bunch arrived at the Williams Lake & District Branch to receive some much needed love and care.
With good quality food, plenty of water and a lot of attention, the whole group flourished!
One quick visit to the local vet and the rambuncious group were ready for their new "forever homes"!
Taurus (now called Zeva) was adopted October 30, 2010. Her new family was looking for a friend for Kali, another dog they had adopted a few years earlier. The match was perfect!

Both Kali and Zeva are doing great. Their adoptive guardian wrote in with an update on their progress.
... Zeva has just graduated puppy classes early due to her being so smart for her age. She is an amazing dog and I am so happy that I got to adopt her. We are training her for tracking, she can successfully track a person.
Thanks for the opportunity. Brielle Penner
Congratulations to both Zeva and Kali and many thanks to the Penner family for making adoption their first option - twice!
