Accent Inns forms partnership with BC SPCA

March 5, 2010. For immediate release.

B.C. hotel chain Accent Inns has entered into a partnership with the BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals to help animals in need.

"The support being provided by Accent Inns will help us provide urgently needed services for abused, neglected, homeless and injured animals," said Rosemary Conder, chief development officer for the BC SPCA.  "As a not-for-profit reliant on support from the community, we are grateful to sponsors like Accent Inns who help us care for more than 37,000 animals each year."

Under the new partnership agreement, Accent Inns will donate a portion of the pet fee collected for guests staying with their furry friends to the SPCA (minimum annual donation of $3,500) as well as in-kind services valued at $2,500.

Accent Inns has hotels in five B.C. locations: Vancouver Airport (Richmond); Burnaby; Kamloops; Kelowna; and Victoria.
