If you can't answer these questions, you need some FarmSense! For answers to these questions, read 'What happens when experts talk science in a pub?' the lead article that appeared in the latest edition of FarmSense. For answers to all your farm questions, sign up to receive this e-newsletter.
First published in 2005, the BC SPCA relaunched FarmSense in early 2010 with a new and improved format. FarmSense promises to keep readers up-to-date on key topics in animal agriculture and includes regular contributions from farmers and researchers who are leaders in the field of animal behaviour and welfare. |

"Our new format offers something for everyone and is tailored to our busy readers," says Craig Naherniak, general manager of humane education. "In depth articles on complex issues in the food system are balanced with quick-to-read updates on the SPCA Certified program and our farm advocacy initiatives. It also provides downloadable resources such as fact sheets useful for professionals and even interested members of the public. The new FarmSense will continue to be emailed on a bi-monthly basis.
Sending email communications enables us to provide news in a timely and cost effective manner, ensuring more money goes to where it matters most - the animals.
