When looking for just the right element to make your home brighter at the 2014 Vancouver Home + Design Show, be sure to consider the ultimate addition – a new best friend. The BC SPCA is hosting an adoption awareness booth at this year’s event, which runs Oct. 16-19 at BC Place Stadium in Vancouver.
“We’re so grateful to the organizers of the 2014 Vancouver Home + Design Show for this opportunity to highlight the thousands of amazing animals who are looking for loving homes across the province,” says Lorie Chortyk, general manager of community relations for the BC SPCA. “We encourage show visitors to come meet our four-legged “greeters”, view life-size cut-outs of animals available for adoption at SPCA shelters, get a free picture with a furry friend at our photo booth and to help support the fight against animal cruelty by purchasing stylish animal-themed merchandise.”
SPCA experts will be happy to answer questions about animal adoption and on Oct. 18 and 19 from 1 to 4 p.m., BC SPCA Manager of Animal Welfare Kim Monteith and her volunteer team of trainers will be on hand to answer pet behaviour questions.
The Vancouver Home + Design Show attracts more than 325 exhibitors and more than 40,000 guests. HGTV star Bryan Baeumler and Cottage Life TV duo Colin McAllister and Justin Ryan are among this year’s special guests who will be offering expert insight, innovation and inspiration for living well.
A limited number of free Home Show tickets are available at Lower Mainland SPCA shelters. In addition, there are two promotional codes for discount on tickets - just enter “BCSPCA” or “BRINGLOVE” in the discount code box when purchasing tickets at vancouverhomeanddesignshow.com.
