Our mission: To protect and enhance the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in B.C.

 April 7, 2017

Want to help B.C.’s most vulnerable animals and win some cash at the same time? Look no further than the BC SPCA Lottery for animals in need. But, don’t sit around looking for too long…the early bird deadline of May 2 and final deadline of May 19 to buy tickets will be here in no time.

“Help save so many animals with the added possibility of winning one of 31 cash prizes throughout all of June, who would want to miss out on that?” says Carina Stirling, BC SPCA officer of fundraising events and lottery. “You win, the animals win! That’s clear from all our past lotteries.”

Just ask adorable pup Copper about the benefits of the lottery, and he’ll bark your ear off! Copper came into the care of the BC SPCA in March after being rescued by RCMP at an alleged drug bust.

Thanks to all the support and funds given by BC SPCA supporters in the lottery, all the necessities such as care and some lengthy transportation were covered and led Copper to where he is today, in a loving and safe forever home.

Sponsored by CTV and TV Week, tickets are only $25 each, three for $60, or five for $90. All the funds generated by the lottery will go towards helping animals in need like Copper by providing rescue, shelter, medical care, spay and neuter services, adoption, advocacy and educational programs.

“There’s no time like right now to buy a ticket. They’re going fast, so don’t miss your chance,” Stirling says.

For tickets and for more information, visit or call 1-855-205-5998.

Ticket purchasers must be 19 years of age or older and tickets can only be sold in B.C. Know your limit, play within it.

The British Columbia Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is a not-for-profit organization reliant on public donations. Our mission is to protect and enhance the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in B.C.
