Our mission: To protect and enhance the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in B.C.

 December 18, 2016

As 2016 draws to a close, I’d like to take this opportunity to offer my sincere gratitude for your life-saving support for B.C.’s most vulnerable animals during this past year. Thanks to your generosity, tens of thousands of animals were rescued from cruel and violent situations and adopted into new loving homes.

In addition, your support ensured that we could offer cruelty prevention programs to thousands of young people and could meet with government officials at all levels to advocate for significant changes to improve the lives of companion, farm and wild animals.

In 2016, our special constables responded to a record number of large-scale seizures from puppy mills, animal hoarders and sub-standard breeders. Watch the video above to see some of the amazing transformations and happy endings that you made possible for the animals rescued from these situations.

Thank you for all you’ve done this past year in the fight against animal cruelty, your support has made a life-changing difference. On behalf of the BC SPCA, I wish you and those you love a joy-filled holiday season and a very Happy New Year.

The British Columbia Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is a not-for-profit organization reliant on public donations. Our mission is to protect and enhance the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in B.C.
