Non-food donations needed at BC SPCA branches

 December 10, 2009

'Tis the season of giving!

BC SPCA branches around the province welcome donations of pet supplies and materials, but thanks to a new partnership with Hill's Science Diet to provide food free of charge, they no longer require donated dog, puppy, cat and kitten food for animals in our care. This is so that the animals in our care have a consistent, high-quality and appropriate diet, making them healthy and adoptable.

For more information, read our full press release or visit the Support section of your local branch and look for their current Gift in Kind wish list.

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization funded primarily by public donations. Our mission is to prevent cruelty and to promote the welfare of animals through a wide range of services, including cruelty investigations, emergency rescue and treatment, sheltering and adoption of homeless and abused animals, humane education, advocacy, farm animal welfare, spay/neuter programs, and wildlife rescue and rehabilitation.
