It was raining cats and dogs, but we still couldn't keep you away!
To our thousands of supporters from across the province, we want to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for helping to make the 2010 Scotiabank & BC SPCA Paws for a Cause… Walk for the Animals a success. Sunday’s weather in most walk locations tested even the greatest animal lover’s commitment – and yet you still came out to support the animals!
To date we can confirm that we’ve raised more than $800,000 of our million dollar goal but are confident that we will reach $1 million shortly! This incredible amount will allow us to help thousands of companion, farm and wild animals across B.C. We hope that you feel incredibly proud that because of the support from people like you that we can continue our life-saving work.
Special thanks to our provincial sponsors Scotiabank, Bosley’s Pet Food Plus, WestJet, See Ya Later Ranch, Global BC, Coast Hotels & Resorts and TV Week.
There is still time to make a difference. Our event website will remain active for the foreseeable future for those still trying to reach this year's fundraising goal. You can login now to send out a few more sponsorship invites to help animals in need.
If you weren’t able to attend the walk, or have received cash and cheque pledges since your local walk, please download a pledge form and mail your pledges to:
Scotiabank & BC SPCA Paws for a Cause
1245 East 7th Avenue
All of the money that you raise for your community will be allocated to your local branch once the cash and cheques have been deposited.
There are three walks remaining across the province in support of our Salt Spring Island, Alberni-Clayoquot and Haida Gwaii branches. We know that these branches have been hard at work planning their events, so don’t miss out!
On behalf of all of the animals in need of our care and protection, thank you for being a part of the 2010 Scotiabank & BC SPCA Paws for a Cause… Walk for the Animals.
See you again next year on Sunday, September 11!
