BC SPCA Cost of Care

Each year the BC SPCA helps more than 36,000 animals throughout the province of B.C.

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization that must cover the costs of sheltering animals, which includes paying for the facilities and the more than 400 staff that care for the animals, food, and any medical costs that are needed by the animals to ensure that they are healthy for adoption. Included in these costs are the costs for vaccinations, spaying and neutering all dogs, cats and rabbits prior to adoption and welfare monitoring and assessment.

*Please note, the costs below are not the adoption prices for cats and dogs in our care. For adoption prices in your area please visit the website for your specific branch for their adoption prices.
