How you and your company can support the BC SPCA together!
There are several ways you can support the BC SPCA at your place of work to help even more animals in need in B.C. The following ideas may inspire you to get your company involved, too!
Matching Gift Programs
Many companies have created a matching funds program whereby they match any donations their employees make to a charity. Some of these notable companies include: Scotiabank, The Gap, Electronic Arts, Investors Group, Chase Morgan (Sears) and TELUS.
If you are interested in knowing if your company offers this type of program, please inquire with your Human Resources department. If your company does offer Matching Gifts, please let us know! Your own independent fundraising initiatives at work

Here are some great examples of ways you can fundraise at work!
Payroll deductions
Many companies offer a payroll deduction service for charitable foundations set up by the employer. A deduction of only $5 from each pay cheque means your annual donation could be as much as $130 a year! The total amount of your annual donation is included in your T4. Payroll deductions are also available through United Way corporate campaigns. Ask your employer or HR department today if this option is available to you!
Employee charitable trusts and foundations
Does your company have an employee charitable trust or foundation in which the employees have a say where the funds are donated? If so, get involved! The BMO Employee Charitable Foundation is one example where employees are actively engaged in all aspects of the foundation's giving. Thank you BMO employees!
Participation in events
Take part in the largest fundraiser for animals in B.C.! Forming a corporate team for the annual Scotiabank & BC SPCA Paws for a Cause Walk. Your team could have their very own fundraising page on the Scotiabank & BC SPCA Paws for a Cause website and have the opportunity to win great prizes! Our online system will allow you to get creative and customize your page with a photo and story. You can also communicate with your team members and invite others to join your fundraising efforts.
