Claire Treacy

Generosity in Action - August 2014

Claire Treacy is a young supporter who is always thinking of the animals. This May, on her 9th birthday Claire hosted a party at the Richmond Education & Adoption Centre and even asked people to donate to the BC SPCA instead of giving gifts! Claire raised a total of $160 for animals in need on her special day!

This young animal advocate is a Kids Club member where she receives four awesome issues of Bark! magazine every year as well as the monthly e-Kids Mews!letter. Claire is also enrolled in Summer Camp this year. She is attending BC SPCA Summer Camp this month, where she will learn about animal care and the importance of treating all living things with respect and compassion.

Claire loves all animals, but cats hold a special place in her heart.  This past March her and her family adopted two black and white sibling kittens named Sassy and Happy from the Port Coquitlam Education & Adoption Centre

Thank you Claire for being such a champion for the animals! We encourage branches to name homeless animals "Claire" this month in honour of Claire’s incredible support.
