Edmund McLean

Generosity in Action - July 2014

Edmund is a long-time supporter of the BC SPCA and a favourite visitor of the South Okanagan Branch in Penticton.

When Edmund visits, he always donates money for the animals in need. As a professional opera singer for three years, Edmund loves to share his passion with the staff, volunteers and resident animals by singing at the Branch!

Two of Edmund’s great loves were Scout, a male border-collie and until late 2013, Angel, who was a female shepherd mix and his most cherished friend. Before his sweet Angel passed, our staff gave him a framed photograph of her, which he treasures.

Just this past month Edmund came for another visit. He volunteered to foster a senior shih tzu, who he subsequently fell in love with! Edmund is now the proud guardian of his foster dog, who he has named Angel in memory of his previous furry family member.

Over the years Edmund has donated thousands of dollars to the South Okanagan Branch, and is considered a dear member of the BC SPCA family. We are so grateful for his support and passion for animal welfare.

In honour of Edmund we encourage branches to name homeless animals “Ed” this month.
