On October 24, the BC SPCA held its second annual Offleashed: A New Breed of Gala at the Four Season Hotel in Vancouver, in support of animals in need.
Guests enjoyed a lavish evening of signature cocktails, ethically sourced gourmet delicacies designed by award winning Executive Chef, Ned Bell, luxurious auction items and a lively after-party. The highlight of the evening, however, was the Cuddle Lounge where guests had the opportunity to meet the animals who benefitted from funds raised. “After the success we had at last year’s inaugural Gala in Vancouver, we are all thrilled that this special evening was again a sold out sensation,” shared Tracy Waters, officer, community fundraising for the Lower Mainland.
Supporters in other parts of the province were treated to similarly spectacular events. The Kelowna branch hosted its eighth annual gala on November 7, while the Surrey Branch hosted the 11th annual Fall for the Animals Dinner and Auction on November 6 and Victoria animal-lovers indulged in a fun-filled night at Wild ARC’s (Animal Rehabilitation Centre) Fall for Wildlife event on November 1.
Almost half a million dollars was raised at these events, directly benefitting abused, neglected, injured, and sick animals across the province. The BC SPCA hosts a variety of fundraising events in communities across B.C.
