Generosity in Action - May 2017

Sheila Veness is a lifelong animal lover from the community of White Rock, who is often seen out with her companion Giant Schnoodle Mr. Pitt- named after Brad Pitt since he is so handsome!
From going on walks together to meeting new people, Sheila and Mr. Pitt are an inseparable pair out and about town. “He means everything to me. He’s my heart & soul,” says Sheila.

Mr. Pitt recently turned 10 this year, but he shows no signs of slowing down in his adventures with Sheila. He’s always interested in meeting new people when out with Sheila or visiting the senior’s home, especially if they happen to have one of his favourite treats!

“Animals, regardless of domestic or wild, they mean a lot to me,” says Sheila. Supporting the BC SPCA is important to Sheila, as she sees how animals give so much and yet ask so little in return.

In 2017, Sheila and Mr. Pitt raised over $375 to fight animal cruelty during National Cupcake Day this February. Braving the snowy weather this winter, Sheila and Mr. Pitt raised funds by bringing cupcakes to White Rock City Hall, the local Fire Hall and town pubs. “When I’m with Mr. Pitt, he loves the idea of going to fundraise with the cupcakes- because not only are the people extremely generous, but Mr. Pitt will sit up like a bear and ask for a bite,” notes Sheila.

Thank you Sheila and Mr. Pitt for your kind and considerate work on behalf of the animals!
