THE BRITISH COLUMBIA SOCIETY FOR THE PREVENTION OF CRUELTY TO ANIMALS
Our mission: To protect and enhance the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in B.C.
How many pets is too many? When animals aren't spayed or neutered, they can have more babies than there are people to take care of them. Learn about the problem of pet overpopulation and how we can work together to fix it.
What's the solution to the problem of pet overpopulation? Spaying and neutering our pets! Get ready to debunk the myths about spay and neuter; plus, find out how many kittens can result from one unspayed female cat and learn why rabbits need to be spayed/neutered too!
In 2005, the BC SPCA opened a spay/neuter clinic in Prince George to help curb pet overpopulation in the B.C. community and surrounding areas. Since then, the clinic has performed more than 20,000 spay/neuter operations. Learn more about why the clinic opened.
