The BC SPCA reminds members of the public that the permitting phase of the provincial government's new regulations governing the keeping of exotic wild animals is now in effect.
Thanks to the support of 75,000 Canadians, the House of Commons has unanimously passed a motion to support the development of a Universal Declaration on Animal Welfare (UDAW).

Vancouver Bound?
The Kelowna BC SPCA is looking for volunteers that are driving to the Vancouver area to assist us in transporting kittens and young cats to the Port Coquitlam Shelter. This would greatly assist us in helping these kittens get adopted.
