Each year we help hundreds of animals find new homes.
Our website will help our supporters, adopters and future adopters to learn more about the animals that we are currently sheltering, view our volunteer opportunities, highlight fundraising events and so much more!
The BC SPCA is a not-for-profit organization. With only 1.5% of operating costs supported by government funding last year, the BC SPCA is reliant upon community support like yours.
We appreciate all of your support, and for making the BC SPCA your first adoption option!
Feeding wildlife may seem like an enjoyable way to connect with nature, but often it leads to serious problems for species like squirrels, raccoons, deer, and bears, doing more harm than good. Even bird feeding is controversial and the pros and cons of the activity need to be considered along with the responsibilities that come with it.
The BC SPCA invites you to an animal-themed day of fun this May. Open House events take place at the South Okanagan and Campbell River branches this Sunday, May 12, as well as at the Alberni-Clayoquot branch on May 26 and the North Peace branch on June 9.
Join in the fun with friends for this great cause. It's Pub Night at The Haney Public House. 50/50 Draw, Top Prize Raffles, Toonie & Loonie Toss games and much more.
Tickets are $20 per person and include a delicious burger meal and a drink. Find out more...
