Each year we help hundreds of animals find new homes.
Our website will help our supporters, adopters and future adopters to learn more about the animals that we are currently sheltering, view our volunteer opportunities, highlight fundraising events and so much more!
The BC SPCA is a not-for-profit organization. With only 1.5% of operating costs supported by government funding last year, the BC SPCA is reliant upon community support like yours.
We appreciate all of your support, and for making the BC SPCA your first adoption option!
Feeding wildlife may seem like an enjoyable way to connect with nature, but often it leads to serious problems for species like squirrels, raccoons, deer, and bears, doing more harm than good. Even bird feeding is controversial and the pros and cons of the activity need to be considered along with the responsibilities that come with it.
The BC SPCA invites you to an animal-themed day of fun this May. Open House events take place at the South Okanagan and Campbell River branches this Sunday, May 12, as well as at the Alberni-Clayoquot branch on May 26 and the North Peace branch on June 9.
There are dozens of reasons to adopt an older cat or dog, but only one that really matters: It’s the right thing to do.
Visit our news page for these and other news stories and announcements from the South Peace Branch of the BC SPCA.

Here we grow again!
We are building new Cat Isolation Rooms.
One will be in memory of Marlene Campbell who worked so hard with and for all of the animals in the South Peace SPCA. We look forward to honouring and recognizing her amazing contribution.
