Each year we help hundreds of animals find new homes.
Our website will help our supporters, adopters and future adopters to learn more about the animals that we are currently sheltering, view our volunteer opportunities, highlight fundraising events and so much more! The BC SPCA is a not-for-profit organization.
With only 1.5% of operating costs supported by government funding last year, the BC SPCA is reliant upon community support like yours.
We appreciate all of your support, and for making the BC SPCA your first adoption option!
Tickets are now on sale for the 2012 BC SPCA Lottery… for the animals, which funds urgently-needed medical care, sheltering, spay and neuter services, advocacy, adoption and foster care programs and more for homeless and abused animals in BC SPCA shelters provincewide.
The BC SPCA is excited to announce the launch of an innovative new online pet search site that will help reunite thousands of lost pets with their anxious families.
If one of your New Year’s resolutions is to get more exercise, why not engage the help of a personal trainer – of the four-legged variety?
Visit our news page for these and other news stories and announcements from the Vernon Branch of the BC SPCA.

Passionate animal lovers needed!
The Vernon and District SPCA is looking for volunteers to sit on our new Events Committee. If you love to organize events we would love to have your help! Various events are being planned for 2011 and we could use some extra hands to make sure they are a success. If you are interested, please contact Corinne at 250-549-7297.
We are also in need of dog walkers and volunteers to help with dog and cat kennel cleaning. Foster families (for cats and kittens in particular) are also in big demand so please contact us at the shelter if you would like to lend a paw.
