Brian Whitlock given 60 days in jail, lifetime ban for fatal attack on German shepherd

The man who pleaded guilty to a vicious attack on his two-year-old German shepherd, was sentenced today to a lifetime ban on owning animals, a 60-day jail term and three years’ probation.

Adoption Weekend finds homes for 161 animals

The BC SPCA is promoting the joy of pet guardianship with its End the Wait campaign, May 24-26 in SPCA branches across B.C. During the weekend, cats, kittens and rabbits can be adopted from a local shelter for half-off the normal adoption fees.
