Costs of Care

When thinking about adopting an animals it is important to understand the true cost of having this pet. Adopting an animal comes with a one-time fee, but your pet's needs will be ongoing. Do you have the financially ability to ensure that your pet is kept healthy? What if your pet becomes ill, or is injured? Will you be able to cover those costs?

Below we have created some general costs of care for some companion animals. Prices may vary from region to region and these costs are estimates of what your pet might cost you per year.

Dogs

The following are the estimated expenses related to providing care and shelter for a medium sized, mixed breed, spayed female dog.
