Welcome to the Prince George Spay/Neuter Clinic of the BC SPCA.
The BC SPCA Prince George Spay/Neuter Clinic opened in the fall of 2005, to address the growing problem of pet overpopulation in the north.
The clinic offers low-cost spay, neuter and vaccine services to the public, and since opening, has performed over 13,000 spay/neuter operations on both publically owned animals and animals going through the BC SPCA shelter system.
The clinic has a full time staff of 4-5 individuals, and relies heavily on public support. Donations are accepted in person as well as via the website.
Grizzly bears are an iconic animal in British Columbia and B.C. residents take pride in the fact that our province is host to some of the bears’ last remaining territory in the world.
Between June 1 and Aug. 31, 2009, Wild ARC, the society’s wild animal rehabilitation centre on Vancouver Island, hosted Wildlife In Focus, a unique annual wildlife photography contest showcasing the community’s best shutterbugs.
Since our alert about foie gras last month, we've heard from people across B.C. who were disappointed to see foie gras on the menu of their favourite restaurant.
Please help us spay and neuter 4,000 homeless animals in Prince George each year, so the community can reach zero euthanasia of adoptable animals by 2010!
